Exploring Type 8 Themes: Film and Book Course
2nd Thursday Evenings 6:00-8:00pm Online Pacific
January 8, February 12, March 12, April 9, May 14
Welcome are all types who would like to understand themselves or their 8 Protector friends and family better.
While all types are invited to join this ten-member class, most welcome are the saved seats for at least five Type 8s: This will make our glass at least half full if not overflowing! Those 8s will receive a special discount at registration in support of their added participation in facilitated dialogues and panels during class sessions.
After introductions and teaching on our first evening, The 8s will vote on which films/books all members will use for the discussions, with considerations made for diversity, inclusion, and current group interests.
For better or worse, this course is facilitated as objectively as possible by Dale Rhodes (Seasoned Sx 4 with the learned ability to fly happily with both wings).

Self Study at Home
If you choose, you may review a handout posted online that will highlight type themes on each lit/film selection. You arrange for the chosen book or film yourself; plan to search IMDB.com for options. Yes, the monthly schedule allows enough time for you to enjoy a book! A Short One-to-One Connection
You will be assigned the name and email of one other participant to have a phone/zoom/in-person chat with about the book or film of the month. Students often report that this is the most meaningful experience of these courses: A one-to-one listening to what each of you have been thinking/feeling/sensing about the material so far; not a performance, just a connection with another person and point-of-view.
Community Together
At the sessions, Dale will provide a short teaching on the type and note relevant themes in the novel or film. We will have 40 minutes for all who may want to share their own reflections in a listening/reflection session without crosstalk, then we take a 10 minute comfort break, and afterwards move into open lively dialogue for an hour. This has met the needs of introverts and extroverts for over 10 years, so we stick to it. Plenty of time for reflections, reactions, questions and deeper delving amongst the participants. Dale facilitates each small group session, never recorded.
