Imitation Game through the lens of Type Five Observer
Imitation Game Notes from on of my Favorite Fives: Deb Sharifi
- “Mother says I can be off-putting” 🤣
- Realist, misunderstood, misfit, “different”
- Introvert, shy but can be assertive when needed
- Problem-solvers; big-picture perspective with ability to concentrate on details as well. Difficult for others to distract his concentration away from his interests/work
- Wants/prefers to work by himself 😂 Sooo 5!
- Can function as team player but doesn’t like it.🤣
- Leadership skills but with limited social grace lol
- Preoccupied by his work and annoyed with disruption
- Misses social cues especially when focused on work
- Matter of fact approach
- Aware of his “different”ness, but unapologetic in his actions, quirks, and lifestyle 👏
- “I’m smarter than they are.” But also humble. Not a braggart or concerned about image. More concerned with HIS view of himself than others views of him.
- Compared difficulty/challenge of de-coding/cryptography to the challenge of talking & understanding other’s unspoken meanings.
- Obvious discomfort with emotion and with sharing/talking
- Socially awkward
- Running helped him deal with stress
- Was described by Commander as “isolated loner, no attachments, arrogant” 😂👍🏻
- Focused, logical, thinking (like Spock, who was also socially awkward)
- Struggles to express emotions
- “Sometimes you can’t do what feels good; you have to do what’s logical”
- Hide, suppress emotions
- When one of his running club members asked why he trained so vehemently, he replied, “I have such a stressful job that the only way I can get it out of my mind is by running hard.”
